Say A Little Prayer (or a big one...)
Hey girls-
Just got word that Sam's mom has had an accident. She fell down the stairs at her house this evening and is at this moment in the ER for evaluation.
All we know at the moment is that she fell, was unconscious for about 5 minutes and a neighbor who is a nurse came over. Sam's mom was alert and able to answer some basic questions (name, ss#, etc). The ambulance came and she was "chatty" in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
Please send prayers and healing thoughts her way.

Sam talked to her dad at about 1am. Mom is in xray, they're doing a CT scan of her brain and xraying her skull, neck, knee, and spine. They think she has a broken nose and she may have messed up her kneem, but she's aware and coherent and talking and even a bit embarrassed.

Got texts from Sam. Her mother is home, with a broken nose, a cut hand, and all sorts of bruising. Sam's alright, though she was scared ~ as her mom was getting loaded into the ambulance, they thought her dad was having a heart attack -- he's fine though.

Glad her mom is home and her dad is fine. Hope they STAY okay. Sam needs the break!
Holy shit! I just about had a heart attack when I read the first words of this post! Nonononno.
That would explain why she disappeared from yahoo last night tho.
I am relieved to see her mom is okay, barring some scrapes and the broken nose. And her dad too.
Gah, coffee. I need more coffee. Stupid nerves.
